RV Generator Alert (Why You Should Avoid Home Made Exhaust Systems at All Costs!)

RV Generator Alert (Why You Should Avoid Home Made Exhaust Systems at All Costs!)

Exhaust System

What sparked my interests in the RV Generator issue? Two things actually, the first one was close to home. A good friend of mine, unbeknownst to himself had a carbon monoxide leak slowly seeping into his RV. After installing his rigged up exhaust system, he ran his air conditioning and other appliances off of the portable generator versus off of the RV power. One day as he was driving along, he inexplicably came down with an overwhelming headache and started feeling sick, the cabin felt like it was turning around in circles and he was having trouble thinking clearly. I believe the only thing that saved him was his military training and background. Once those symptoms flared up, he immediately pulled over and got his family out of that death trap on wheels.

They had the RV towed to a shop and tests were ran to determine if it was carbon monoxide poisoning or some other issue. When they fired up that generator and let it run, it set off the carbon monoxide detector after twenty minutes. An examination of his homemade system revealed that the integrity of the connector that tied the muffler and the exhaust system together was not properly sealed.

Had they let that RV generator run after they had parked, we'd most likely be reading about them on the Channel Five News. Please heed this warning carefully; avoid homemade RV generator exhaust systems at all costs! I have to be honest, being in the generator business, I have seen some pretty dangerous setups jimmy rigged. To this date I have yet to see or identify any homemade installation that meets reasonable standards for safely handling RV generator exhaust gases.

Unless you are a mechanical engineer, this is not a do it yourselfer project. The second thing that sparked my interest in addressing this matter is that every year more than a thousand people die in their sleep due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Don't take a chance and become one of them. When these accidents happen due to fumes from a portable generator or some other type of generator, rest assured the incident always finds its way across my desk. Many nights, I have pondered how different the outcome would have been had the person or family been educated on the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning.

There are plenty of options available for those who would like to run their RV generator while parked. If you decide to use one, make sure that the installation is done to specs. Don't allow the person doing the install to cut corners or jimmy rig anything. I've seen people use common couplers and U-clamps to join the muffler from the generator to their exhaust system. A million times NO! I've watched them wrap duct tape around that connection, thinking that would seal it, once again, NO! If you're going to do it, have it done right. Remember, your life and the life of others is at stake.

And finally, don't learn this next lesson the hard way. One thing many of these do it yourselfers very rarely take into consideration is the hot pipe their exhaust system exposes others to. All it takes is a child or an unsuspecting adult to touch that piping, and you've got a potential lawsuit on your hands. My suggestion, if you're going to add an exhaust system to your RV generator, get it done professionally if at all possible. If not, use one of the pre-fabbed kits that are recognized by industry experts as being safe.

Ozone generator hydroponics - is safe for indoor grow room?

Ozone generator hydroponics - is safe for indoor grow room?

Exhaust System

Hydroponic gardeners have many problems with the smell of grass, molds, mites and also pollute the air experiences. A solution may be used or considered for use against this problem is an ozone generator. Ozone, when used correctly, is the most effective and reliable method for removing odors.

An ozone generator outputs ozone (O3) in the garden to eliminate odors of plants. However, some people have questions about the safety of ozone generatorsclosed.

A common error is a combination of ozone smog and pollution. Ozone is generally referred to as pollution and climate change news, however, ozone is a greenhouse gas. In fact, ozone plays an important role in protecting life on Earth by absorbing potentially harmful ultraviolet rays.

Ozone is essentially only oxygen (O2) with three instead of two molecules. A natural gas, ozone is formed when air is bombarded with the atmosphereThe sun's UV rays. Ozone can also be produced artificially by current devices with high voltage electricity. Ozone is able to kill odors, because his third molecule, which then published as a "predator" by other odors by attaching to their sources and their elimination.

For this reason, ozone in the vernacular by commercial companies for years as a tool for cleaning and deodorizing air.

If you have a room to grow hydroponic indoor, ozone layerGenerator can be the most cost-effective than other types of air purification systems compared. The generators are very efficient and economical. They are also small and easy to grow in any type of configuration room. Ozone generators are available in a variety of sizes, large and small control room inside to grow.

There are dangers to be feared? Ozone air generators are safe, provided they are properly installed and operated. TheOccupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have certain standards for safe levels of ozone in the occupied territories that follow all manufacturers.

If your indoor hydroponics grow room is not occupied, then there is no danger of an ozone generator air. POPs are required only to rooms where there are people or animals. If there are people or animals in the areas of the generator, the room should be well ventilated andAir Ozone generator set at a level of security.

The ozone generator should synchronize when the exhaust fan is on. Be done with a timer on the device when the exhaust fan is turned on turn on the generator with the proper ventilation. It is therefore possible to maintain your time throughout the discharge cycle and ozone is released only when you're out of the interior and are absent from the area. This raises concerns about the safety and ozone. The shortozone emitted by ozone generators back into oxygen, usually within 30 minutes.

To minimize the penetration of ozone into other rooms, you should close the doors and other openings, sealed and preferably when there are large gaps are covered under the entry room to grow. You can plastic sheeting to seal the openings that can not be closed.

Remember, ozone dangerous only at high levels. It can grow in a hydroponic room until the room is well ventilated workand the generator is maintained at a level of security or leave. In fact, there are natural ozone in the air we breathe, whether or not a generator. Dangers only arise if the ventilation is sufficient to reduce the amount of ozone produced by the generator handle.

If you're in the open air vent, air ozone generators are not sufficient to threaten the ozone-producing regions outside of the grow room. Ozone rapidly dissipated into the surrounding air vented outside. TheDriven indoors, where the ozone can build up if the settings are too high or ventilation is the inappropriate use.

One point is to reiterate that no ozone is a greenhouse gas! If you look at the article on the ozone layer, you will find that the scientists really ozone depletion, ie fear, too little rather than too much ozone.

So if you are considering the use of ozone for indoor grow room, it is safe as long as the equipmentinstalled and used properly in the exhaust system. To plant the benefits of using an odor ozone generator, mold and pests away from eliminating the weight of the small inconvenience of maintaining of the generator and the exhaust system on a bike.

Why do people think of HHO generator systems do not work

The simple fact is that most modern vehicles oxygen sensors are equipped to know the car computer to see if the air-fuel mixture is too lean or too rich. Gas / petrol engines are made for an air / fuel ratio of 14.7 to 1 and when the engine is introduced, a small amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas from the oxygen sensor to detect mounted in the exhaust system, this information are transmitted, the vehicle computer. This means that more oxygen is detected inthe vehicles computer system thinks there is not enough fuel in the mixture (too lean), then changed, leaving more fuel to the contrary happens when the computer detects less oxygen, the vehicles computer thinks there is too much fuel in the mixture ( too rich), so that the fuel reduces the engine.

It 'a big problem with this, but once you add the HHO generator system and to help the hydroxy gas, the fuel more efficiently, the oxygen in the exhaust gasesincreases because of the fuel burn more efficiently, is the main reason for this first less fuel is used to generate the same power, and 2 less oxygen is used for carbon monoxide in the exhaust system. The most important point here is that it has won more oxygen in the exhaust system fuel efficiency.

Exhaust System

Because of the fuel consumption achieved and recognized more oxygen in the exhaust system, the computer thinks that the vehicles do not have enough fuel in theMixture (too lean), so erroneously adds more fuel to the mix. For those of you having an EFIE (Electronic Fuel Injection Enhancer) to adapt the vehicle. The EFIE solves this problem for the signal of oxygen sensors to the computer so that the computer is happy with the readings, and then make the correct settings for different engine conditions.

One thing to remember is that it is not an EFIE device on fuel economy alone. If everythingto do, how to add an EFIE to your car, without fuel efficiency of the system, you can use a couple of mpg win, but could not, and your strength will be, reducing the amount of fuel in the mixture of the vehicle to lose . The reason for this is that you can fool the car's computer, and then run out of specific or different than it was designed. The EFIE is designed to make the car run from the other device installed on specific fuel consumption was.

It is not the installation of a EFIEthe main reason why people say that HHO systems do not work. found with outdated maps on the Internet is not old for the construction and installation of your HHO system are recommended, these plans are good for us to explain the principles of how these systems, but not what is required to meet one of these systems on your vehicle for optimum fuel efficiency. This is another reason why I always recommend purchasing plans, the tried and tested, and because they haveThe latest information on the system of HHO and EFIE devices.
